Description

The commercial insurance market for Directors and Officers liability (D&O) has seen some of the largest premium increases in the commercial market over the past year with capacity also shrinking. Using a captive for D&O though is not straight forward. In this webinar we look at the challenges of captive use for D&O and where it may be viable. Topics covered include:

  • The state of the commercial market for D&O risk
  • The challenges in insuring D&O in a captive including
    • Conflict of interest and indemnification considerations
    • Premium and capital requirements
    • Fronting and reinsurance support
  • Opportunities for captive use
    • Single parent structures
    • Group captive structures including use in private equity and SPAC settings
    • Short term and run-off situations
  • Regional considerations: US and European differences

This webinar is suitable for existing and prospective captive owners considering using their captives to participate in their D&O program.
