SRS is honored to have recently participated in a 1920s style black-tie gala on May 27th to commemorate the Cayman Islands Crisis Centre (CICC) 20-year milestone in its mission to deliver support and shelter for the islands’ victims of domestic and sexual abuse. The evening involved live jazz music, dance performances, a delicious three-course meal, after dinner ‘casino,’ and dancing.

The CICC is the only sanctuary in Cayman Islands for abused women and children to find haven, where they can feel empowered, supported, and encouraged to take their first steps to an abuse-free life. With that aim in mind, they are planning a new, purpose-built shelter to provide a 24/7 safe space for all victims of abuse – women, children, men, or transgender. CICC have already accomplished significant steps on the way to eradicating domestic abuse in Cayman (see the image below).
